Translate!

Hello!

It’s been a while since we’ve updated, sorry! We have been upgrading Kwyno’s backend for some improvements in the future. Today we finally added a new command that has been requested by many. Kwyno now offers the ability for you to translate words into other languages by a very simple to use translate command.

The translate command is very simple to use, just type -
translate wordtotranslatehere languagetotranslatehere
Example: translate hello french

You don’t need to type in the language that is being translated from, Kwyno will automatically detect it for you.

We hope you enjoy the update, and as always please send your much appreciated feedback!

All the best,
Kwyno Staff

Talk about busy…

Hey there!

Thanks for checking the Kwyno blog, as you may have noticed Kwyno wasn’t updated this weekend. The reason why we didn’t push an update this weekend is simple, we didn’t have much ready. The new commands that are being added to the Kwyno website are still being tested to make sure that they all work, and there are some good addons for next week. We are adding the ability for you to view websites inside of Kwyno, check a RSS story in the website and some other cool stuff.

Our apologies for not updating this weekend, but good stuff is headed your way!

All the best,
Kwyno Staff

Update!

Hello there!

Hope you had a fantastic Christmas! We’ve been hard at work here on Kwyno and today we had our first update! Kwyno’s overall speed should be a bit faster now, we made some modifications to the backend and you should feel things going a little smoother. The digg, digguser command have been moved as a child command to the “check” command, so instead of typing in “digg” or “digguser kevinrose” you now type “check digg” or “check digguser kevinrose”; we have also decided to remove support for the “diggrandom” command, it no longer works. Another very requested feature was Google Talk support, we have made that possible too – just go to your IM settings and configure your Google Talk account there. A new “help” command has been introduced as well. If you don’t want to go to the commands page to view a list of commands just type in “help” and we’ll make sure you get help from the homepage, no need to click around.

Don’t forget to submit feedback!

We have some new updates being built already for next Friday. We hope that you have a fantastic New Year’s Eve!

All the best,
Kwyno Staff

kwynoweb (AIM & Yahoo!)

Good morning!

We received a few emails yesterday about kwynoweb, our AIM and Yahoo! bot signing on and off a few times yesterday. We have taken care of the problem and kwynoweb should be running with no problems within the next few hours. We also wanted to let you know that GTalk and Jabber support is coming soon as well, thanks to repeated feedback.

All the best,
Kwyno Staff

Kwyno is here!

Kwyno’s private beta is finally here! If you signed up for the beta and didn’t receive your email yet, hang tight, it’ll get there. If you still haven’t received your email at about 6PM make sure you check your spam folder – that’s not where we meant to be. Once you sign up make sure you view the list of current possibilities at our commands page. If you find anything wrong or believe that something is wrong make sure that you click on the ‘Report bug’ link located on the top of every page on Kwyno. Last, but certainly not least, please send us feedback on how we can improve our service – your feedback is critical to us, and believe it or not, we actually listen.

The SMS gateway is still under development and should be available shortly, however, our AIM and Yahoo bot is ready to serve you! Once you sign up just head on to your account’s page and link your screename. Make sure you take a look around and set everything up according to your settings!

We thank you for taking your time for trying out the Kwyno beta, and we hope to see you here along with us with every feature to come.

All the best,
Kwyno Staff
